Champion reinsman Greg Sugars gave himself an early wedding present with a win on Flaming Flutter in the Group 1 2016 Ubet South Australian Pacing Cup (2230m) at Globe Derby Park on Saturday night.
Sugars, 30, will marry longtime partner Jess Tubbs on their property at Myrniong in Victoria next month.

Michaela Vorlova and Lucia Michalovicova have won the Women's Beach Volleyball SA Open for 2016 defeating Becchara Palmer and Britt Kendall in straight sets 21-12, 21,19.
Vorlova from the Czech Republic and Michalovicova from Slovakia were thrilled to win Round One of the Australian Beach Volleyball tour.
The Internationals went through undefeated in the tournament with Vorlova loving the event.

Although the South Australian Starz lost the Australian Softball Open Women's Championship semi-final game, for the Gilley's Shield, 3-2 to ACT Diamonds at Blacktown, NSW, on Saturday, there are plenty of positives for the future.
