Atkinson finishes 7th in Scoot WQS


Results from the Scoot WQS Event in Burleigh over the weekend. GUYS: Max Longhurst 49th Brett Edwards 33rd Teale Vanner 25th Dion Atkinson 7th GIRLS: Tayla Hanak 41st Ellie Francis 17th South Australian surfers featured well at the Scoot WQS Event in Burleigh on the weekend. The SA Competitors gathered some vital WSL points to improve their seedings. Ellie Francis continued her great form finishing 17th. In the Men's event Dion Atkinson was able to finish 7th overall. At this early stage, SA have two Surfers in the top 50 of the World Qualifying Series with Dion Atkinson in 46th position and Tayla Hanak in 34th spot for the girls. Dion Atkinson has also qualified for the Hurley Australian Open at Manly which starts on Saturday.
