Under 25 state team named

Head coach Peter Kitchingman, pitching coach Luke Prokopec and assistant coach Russell Hart will lead the 18-player group for the championships beginning in Cairns on 5 September. Kitchingman will take charge for his second year and looks to an improved performance with a strong list. The addition of former Major Leaguer Prokopec is a coup for Baseball SA and further enhances the direction of providing the best coaching and tuition available. Hart, recently appointed Club Coach at Henley and Grange brings a wealth of experience to his role.

Baseball SA CEO Nathan Davison said coach Kitchingman was looking to better the fourth place the under-25s earned at the 2014 titles, also played in Cairns. ‘Baseball SA congratulates each player on making the team and wish them success,’ Baseball SA CEO Nathan Davison said. ‘We look forward to the coaches helping them maximise their talents and producing some great baseball as a result.’
