International Success at SA Open

January 12, 2016

Michaela Vorlova and Lucia Michalovicova have won the Women's Beach Volleyball SA Open for 2016 defeating Becchara Palmer and Britt Kendall in straight sets 21-12, 21,19.
Vorlova from the Czech Republic and Michalovicova from Slovakia were thrilled to win Round One of the Australian Beach Volleyball tour.
The Internationals went through undefeated in the tournament with Vorlova loving the event.
"We have enjoyed so much," Michaela Vorlova said.
"I have to say its an amazing beach, its an amazing event."
"We will be off to play in Surfers Paradise next for Round two of the Australian Beach Volleyball Tour.
Both Vorlova and Michalovicova will enjoy their SA Open win tonight before they continue training tomorrow.
"We will celebrate tonight and then straight back into training tomorrow."
Earlier previously undefeated pair Zina Stone and Gudrun Schober lost their quarter final to Palmer and Kendall 14-21, 10-21.
Stone played through the tournament with a broken finger and shoulder injury but showed her talent whilst on court.
With Palmer and Kendall cruising through their Quarter and Semi Finals they looked like the pair to beat but the home crowd couldn't get them across the line and the International pair earned their success.
