One of the LPGA's fittest players Belen Mozo is excited to return to Adelaide this year.
The 28-year-old from Spain says the flight to Australia is long, but well worth it once you arrive.
"I am terribly excited," Mozo said.
"I always love coming back to Australia.
"It's a long flight but it's worth it once you disembark the plane."
Mozo said Adelaide people are very healthy-minded.
"I have amazing memories going on runs in the morning or during sunsets along the beach," she continued.
"I especially remember a Saturday morning run along the beach last year that marked my stayed in Adelaide.
"People in Australia are very health-minded and work out and eat very healthy, so I ended up joining most of the early birds running with their dogs along the beach, I loved it!
While many enjoyed a break over the LPGA off season, Mozo wasn't one of them, explaining she flew to Columbia for an intense three week workout after the last tournament.
Currently ranked 164th in the world, Mozo is not just here to make the cut.
"I am not looking to just make the cut; I expect more," Mozo confirmed.
"I have been training very hard these past two months and my game is in a good place.
"Obviously some times you cannot control the outcomes, but I strive for a top 20.
"Let's hope for that!"
Most players are happy to sign a ball and give them away to their adoring fans, yet Mozo has a special present for one lucky fan during the Open.
"I am lucky enough to be part of the Skechers Family and most of the times I give away my golf shoes to some kids after the week," she said.
"They wouldn't be very worn since I wear them weekly!
"I find it amazing to have fans.
"At the end of the day I consider myself a regular girl that competes worldwide in a sport that I love and care about a lot.
"The fact that I have people that enjoy watching me play and following my career is very satisfying!
"I love all my fans, they are all very sweet.
"Golf has many ups and downs and they always support you despite your lows."
