Sasha showing her skills off the court

Players from different sporting codes have recently turned to part-time work due to the COVID-19 pandemic which forced many sports to suspend their season until further notice. Adelaide Thunderbirds young gun Sasha Glasgow has also been working part-time in Wallaroo for South Australia’s locally owned Drakes Foodland. The former Yorke Peninsula local has been working at Drakes for six weeks since the March announcement of a 70% pay cut to Super Netball players. The 21-year-old was a key part of the Thunderbirds attack last season while combining with New Zealand’s superstar Maria Folau.

Unfortunately during August, Glasgow suffered a season-ending knee injury against the Giants but her rehab training has been on track for a return in 2020. Netball Australia and the Suncorp Super Netball league are in full return-to-action planning ahead of key government deadlines, with an announcement on the 2020 season due by the end of May.
